The Sandford award winning schools Investigate programme at Lincoln Castle is designed to bring history to life through a series of National Curriculum linked workshops for pupils in Early Years right through to KS4. Inspired by the castle's history as a Norman motte and bailey castle, medieval fortress, Georgian gaol, Victorian prison, and home to an original 1215 Magna Carta, Investigate comprises a wide range of hands-on learning adventures and experiences designed to complement classroom learning.
There are many exciting ways to visit Lincoln Castle with your school. Our friendly, experienced learning team can tailor visits to your requirements. Choose from a wide range of facilitated workshops, a self-led visit, a guided tour led by one of our experienced guides, or a combination of these.
