Castle Characters

Saturday 13 - Sunday 14 July

Join our costumed characters in the Victorian Prison and listen to their tales of Prison life, discipline, crime and punishment.

In its 30 year history Lincoln Prison was a forward thinking experiment in criminal reformation to some and an expensive failure to others. During the course of the day you can join four characters within the prison to find out the story of why it was built, what went wrong, why it was closed and what happened to it afterwards.  Each character bears witness to a moment of the prison's life complete with their point of view and any gossip they've picked up. Join the Inspector, the Candidate, the Clerk and the Visitor to hear the true story of an important landmark in Lincoln's history!

Time: 10.30am – 4.30pm
