Magic Castles

Learn about castles with a touch of magic with Dennis the dragon puppet and friends. Your session will includes a real castle tour with Dennis the dragon, a story and making 'magic potions', plus dressing-up and dance.

Pre visit ideas: Share stories about dragons and castles.  Download images of Lincoln Castle from the website

Post visit ideas: Make giant paper mache eggs and baby dragons. Make up a story about Dennis and Lincoln Castle

Find out what it was like living in a real castle a long time ago with a castle tour, knight training and a banquet with real foods

Pre-visit ideas: Introduce Lincoln Castle through images of the website. Talk about celebrations and parties and introduce the word 'banquet'.

Post visit ideas: Create a model of Lincoln Castle using junk materials. Get the children to invent and make 3D characters for Castle stories.
