HES Update July 2019

Our search for our next set of HES trainees has been going well so far! Earlier in the month we held four well-attended taster sessions that enlightened potential applicants to careers in Historic Buildings Conservation, Collyweston Slate Roofing and Heritage Plastering with the help of host organisations Messenger BCR and Millstone Restoration. We were also lucky enough to appoint our first trainee of this year! Graham started his placement in Heritage Joinery on the 15th of July with his training host Jericho Joinery. So far Graham tells us he is enjoying every second of it!

If you need any more convincing to consider one of our traineeships, trainees have had a few treats this month, including introductions to both wood and stone carving as well as a tour of Heritage Lincolnshire's Old Kings Head in Kirton, which they are in the process of restoring.

We are looking for trainees interested in:

All three of these opportunities are unique and will focus on working within the historic building sector, learning specialist skills that allow the trainees to preserve older buildings for future generations.
If you are interested in applying, please check out the web pages for the roles by clicking on the one which interests you. On their web pages you'll find the role description, more information on the traineeship and the all important expression of interest form you need to apply.
