Tool Sharpening

Prepare for the spring and summer gardening season!

Spend a day learning how to properly sharpen your tools, and getting them ready for all the work you'd like to do with them out in the garden or woods this spring and summer. We all know that sharp tools make for easier jobs so join us and pass a day grinding, filing, sanding and sharpening all types of tools. We're particually aiming at woodworkers and gardening tools but if you have something else in mind do contact us and we'll check suitability. We will have plenty of our tools to sharpen should you not want to bring yours but we’d love you to bring your own tools out as in dicsussion with our tutor you'll learn how to get the right bevel, sharpen and hone your tools to the jobs you want to do with them.

As we all know, a sharp tool is safer to use, uses less effort and gives a better finish. You'll have grinding wheels, files, oilstones, diamond stones, water stones, ceramic stones, sharpening guides, all to try out but bring along your own sharpening implements and learn how to get the best out of them.

Includes all tools and materials you need on the day.
