Merryweather Promise
Terms and conditions
- Lincoln Castle’s Merryweather Promise will start on 22 July until 5 September 2023, inclusive.
- Tickets are only valid for a single return free visit to Lincoln Castle. You cannot transfer your free return visit for an alternative date, should it rain again.
- Free return visits will only be accepted upon presentation of the original digital or paper ticket(s), receipt or relevant bank statement from your first visit with a valid ID.
- The date of your original tickets must be on an eligible rainy day as determined by Lincoln Castle, this information will be available on the website.
- Tickets purchased for specific event days - 12 and 13 August, and 26, 27 and 28 August – are excluded from the Merryweather Promise.
- Free return visit need to be redeemed by the 31st October 2023.
- Free return visits are not eligible to be taken on specific event days – 12 and 13 August, and 26, 27 and 28 August.
- No cash alternative is available, tickets cannot be re-sold or exchanged.
- Return visits are subject to availability.
- Return visits can only be exchanged for the same original ticket type (ie a family day ticket for a family day ticket, or an adult medieval wall walk ticket for an adult medieval wall walk ticket).
- Any other additional paid-for activities are exempt and do not apply.
- Full Castle regulations apply.
- Lincoln Castle has the right to refuse entry and withdraw the Merryweather Promise offer at any time.
- Qualifying dates for a free return visit are - 22 July, 23 July, 31 July, 2 and 5 August.
