A Brief History of Illuminated Manuscripts

Before the advent of printing in the middle of the 15th century, books were handwritten and some illuminated. This included bibles, other religious works, and chronicles.

This talk is a brief history of Illuminated Manuscripts, looking at several wonderful examples: the books themselves, the materials used, and the people who wrote and illuminated them.
